Why CrossFit?

On September 13, 2007, Tillman Training set out on an adventure that we had no idea where it would take us. Six years later, we are still affiliated with CrossFit and have been able to change so many people’s lives that it is an amazing journey.

Brothers, David and Michael Tillman started Tillman Physical Therapy & Sports Training Center, Inc. in 2001. They saw the potential of physical therapy working side by side with training. Pre-habilitation to prevent injuries and getting people back to what they want to do in case they do get injured. Functional Fitness at its best. The functional movements prescribed by the CrossFit methodology just clicked and that is why we affiliated. Fast forward to now, the incorporation of physical therapy mobility and movements within our CrossFit programming has been a huge benefit to all of our clients.

Our coaches must meet a certain criteria before they can even start subbing our classes. They must intern with our physical therapists and intern with our coaches. Our programming is designed by owner, David Tillman who has over 20+years experience programming workouts for athletes, weekend warriors and people who just want to get in shape and play with their grandkids on the floor.  Our coaches are the best because they have worked with our physical therapists, who crossfit, to know how to modify a workout when you have a hurt, injury or permanent issue (like knee replacement or fused vertebrae).

We are not a fly by night CrossFit gym. This is not our part-time job.   We don’t want to be the biggest, the cheapest or have the most packed classes.

We want to be the best.

Our number one goal is to help change and improve people’s lives.

It’s your turn to transform your life. At CrossFit Cedar Park we have many success stories of people achieving more than they dreamed they could and changing their lives! They have found health, vitality, a sense of well being, fun, friends, and quality fitness. Why does CrossFit work so well?

CrossFit is a “broad, general and inclusive” fitness program. It welcomes all levels, beginner to professional. It is not specialized fitness, but a plan that optimizes  ten areas of fitness:

  • Cardio-respiratory Endurance
  • Stamina
  • Strength
  • Flexibility
  • Power
  • Speed
  • Coordination
  • Accuracy
  • Agility
  • Balance

Specialize by not specializing. Crossfit prepares you for anything. A year from now, you’ll wish you had started today.
