I have been involved in exercise enhancement for nearly two decades and have coached multiple athletes to qualify for the International CrossFit Games and numerous athletes and teams to the CF Regional Level. I have assisted in sports specific programs, injury rehabilitation, pre-habilitation as well as general fitness and weight loss. I also work with various age groups in accomplishing their personal goals. My background includes assisting youth sports programs in both group and individual settings, and have coached professional athletes, weekend warriors and assisted the military in preparation for deployment to Iraq.
David believes in continuing education. The only way to improve is hours of coaching and studying from the best of the best. David has been able to work with some amazing coaches in all areas of training from Mike Burgener, Chad Vaughn, Jodi Vaughn, Ursula Garza Pappandrea, Dave Durante, Mike Cerbus, and many others. Constant study of programming, Olympic Lifting, Nutrition and education have helped David hone his skills to become a highly respected coach within the CrossFit community.
David graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as well as the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN).David has earned several nationally recognized certifications including the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and several CrossFit Certifications including Level 1, Nutrition, Endurance and Olympic Lifting. As one of the owners of Tillman Physical Therapy & Sports Training Center, Inc., MAD Athlete Training, CrossFit Cedar Park and CrossFit 2222, David has chosen to use the CrossFit methods and principles. He is proud to be the owner and head coach of CrossFit Cedar Park.
